We finally found carpet!!! There was a posting on our ward newsletter from a lady who is moving out of the ward and giving away her carpet, so I called her right away and she told me that they hadn't gotten any calls on the carpet so they had thrown it in the dumpster. Without a second thought I asked what dumpster ha ha. She told me where and I went and found it. Boy did I feel like white trash digging in the trash to get the carpet out. I called Reggie and he came out to help me bring it to our house. When we got back to the carpet there was a lady (who looked like she would be digging in the trash, but who am I to judge!) she was getting a book case someone had thrown away. I then asked her if she was taking the carpet she said she was thinking about it. I said well I called the lady who through it out and she said I could have it. HA HA I'm fighting for carpet!!! Anyways the trash lady was very nice and ended up letter us use her truck to bring the carpet to our house. So after a long 8 hours of Jeff putting carpet in the family room and bedroom, our house is now one step closer to looking like a real home!!! Thanks Jeff!!!!!

I'd garbage pick for carpet too Amy! I'm not proud. :) Your house looks great!
That's a great story, I always knew you had the "bag lady" in you........enjoy newlywedhood, it's supposed to be fun!
You can add us to your blog list, the guthries are at https://www.guthriegarb.blogspot.com
Love Aunt Tami
Congratulations on your new carpet. I love reading about your newlywed stories because I know you will look back at them and laugh. My favorite memory of our first apartment was putting our hands inside tennis shoes so we could turn the lights on or off. If we didn’t we would get shocked every time! I’m glad those days are over.
