We are down to only 2 weeks left! I'm so excited I pray every night that I go into labor haha. I'm trying not to get too excited tho cause this is going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life! And lets hope I don't go past 2 weeks!
Well I think we are ready as we will ever be, I'm scared out of mind every time I think about the actual labor part and going to hospital and when to go to the hospital but at the same time I'm so ready to see what this little baby looks like!
The room is ready, everything is washed and I even packed my "bag" tonight. So now we just sit and wait. (or walk and swim like crazy to get this labor going!) Any suggestion of self induced labor is appreciated although I know it wont happen til she is ready. I'm totally ok with that too! I think I'm most excited for my swelling to go down. I told Jeff the other night that I didn't care if I came home with a belly as big as when I went to the hospital as long as my swelling was down. Its pretty much out of control these days. My last day of work is on Tuesday, I'm looking forward to enjoying those days of freedom for the last time. I plan on staying in bed and sleeping as much as possible and do fun little baby crafts all day! I will keep everyone posted as we trek through these last few weeks!

Awww, I so remember. This is the most anticipation and excitement you will ever feel in your life - feel free to love it and hate it at the same time. Everyone does. :) If you end up with an IV for birth, be prepared to come home MORE swollen than you went in. . .but don't worry, you will pee and sweat and breastfeed all that extra fluid out in the first few weeks. Oh man, it is just a lovely process, right? We are all excited to meet yours and Beth's little babies. Now hurry up and wait!
Ah!!! 2 more weeks! How exciting! I bet your baby is going to be BEAUTIFUL! (Just like you!)
Walk Walk Walk!! Got both my kids out!! I am so excited to see your cute baby! Any names yet?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Well a few things:
SeX for stirring things up (might not work for baby#1 but worth the try, stripping your membranes (have your doc do this unless you wanna try), hopefully you are like your mom and it will be quick...but probably not painless.
Even though it's scary, it's so unbelievably exciting. I remember that feeling with kennedy. Swelling; with an IV that is in you for more than a few hours, you will have even more swelling. I tend to be very swollen, and strangely on the 8th day post delivery I have normal looking feet.
Good luck, I am so excited about all of these babies.
Your description of the last few days brings back so many memories. How exciting! Makes me want to have another baby...like right now (nine months of pregnancy is just too long). I was hoping you'd have your baby on Ally's birthday today, but oh well. Maybe Jeff's birthday :)
Two weeks?? That went by so fast! I'm sure not to you though. I have no suggestions for how to induce labor as I was two weeks late with my babies and still had to be induced. I'm sure it will be soon if you are like your mom! You will do great, you have nothing to worry about. Your mom probably won't like this suggestion but my only advise is to GET THE EPIDURAL!!! Good luck and enjoy every part of it!!!
I guess the race is on. Who do you think will go first? Good luck We are both gonna need it. The time really is going by slow but it will all be over soon. Have fun doing the baby crafts and resting. Enjoy it.
Hey Amy- The next bow class is Thurs. Sept 11th. Wanna go? Call me. It is $12.00 and you have to pay to reserve your spot and then get the robbin for your bows. Claire won't keep her bows on anymore, but I can get a little ponytail so I will need them again soon!
walk walk walk walk walk. the day i went into labor i had steve take me to desert ridge marketplace by our house and there seriously was not an inch of that place that we didn't step on. a couple of hours later, i was ready to go and it was NOTHING like the movies make it out to be. no panic, no fast driving (sorry jeff), no frantic phone calls to parents.
so hit up some shopping center close by you (that's outside, you'll sweat off the swelling. i came home with none after all was said and done)
good luck!! can't wait to see pics of the precious little blessing in your lives.
I'm so excited for you! I wish you the best these next couple of weeks. Get as much sleep as you can, Love, Terri
Jeff I expect a phone call notifying me of the babies birth. Don't send me some automated mass text you can do that for everyone else. Anyway congratualtions.
Don't worry about labor. It's not as bad as they say. You'll do great! As far as inducing labor, I don't think any of them really work except maybe the Dr. stripping your membranes. But at the same time, I think it just makes the labor longer. My advice, just sit back and enjoy it while you can. Get lots of rest because you won't be sleeping for a while. You'll be awesome parents!
In case your wondering who jay is, it's Jadyn. I was logged in under her. Sorry about that.
Just remember there is only one way for that baby to exit and there's no going back! LOL. Once you're in labor it will be scary, exciting, nerve racking and frustrating all at the same time. Enjoy the last few uncomfortable moments of peace as your ride as a couple of newlyweds is slowly coming to an end!!! :) love you.
Sit on an excercise ball, and bounc and rotate your hips front, back, and side to side. I went into labor by myself, I don't know if these excercises did it for me, but i did them and I didn't need to be induced, although C was 5 days late. Labor is hard but fun, I loved it and I am totally looking forward to doing it again. I'm so sad I missed your shower, it's probably the only time you'll enjoy getting presents for someone other than you. Your headbands are so cute. I would keep them and use them as back-ups or gifts for future showers. I think someone in Iowa might be having one soon. ;0)
BABY BABY BABY!!!!!!!!! oh that is soo exciting! I'll pray for you, but I'm sure you'll do wonderfully. good luck, you will be such a great mommy daddy!
ha ha I meant mommy AND daddy, not a mommy daddy...that would be odd
Wow, you are getting so close! I am so excited for you! Labor isn't that bad...if you get the epidural. ;) I had one with and one without, not by choice though Teyton didn't want to wait for me to have drugs before he came out. Right as they were going to stick me Teyton decided that it was time so there was like 10 people in the room while I delivered...good times, haha. Although when all is said and done it is so worth it. I can't describe how you'll feel the first time you see your new baby and hold her in your arms. It is amazing. You guys are going to make great parents!
