Paisley's Service Dinner

Awhile back Jeff brought up the idea of doing something extra special on Paisley's birthday. We wanted to give back in some way, we were so blessed with love and service from so many people we thought it would be nice to do some service of our own. With the help of our families we signed up and brought dinner to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald house. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay there while we were in the hospital with Paisley. What a blessing it was not to have to make that hour drive every day to be with our baby. I ended up getting really sick and was not able to go down and serve the dinner, I was so bummed! Thanks again to all the family who helped with the food and serving. We are so blessed to have you all in our life!

12 Months old
Height:
Weight:

Paisley is my baby, and I treat her like a baby! It's so funny how after having your second you realize how much you pushed your first to grow up. I expected so much from Liberty. But Paisley I just want her to be a baby forever! But as all kids do, they grow up no matter what.
I have said it month after month, but Paisley is my Happy Girl! She is always happy, smiling and laughing.
She LOVES to:
Play outside
Play with her toys, she plays so well all by her self
Climb on the couch, table, love sac basically she loves to climb!
books
food
she says:
mama
dada
baby
no no no
uh oh
she kinda walks, she will walk for a little bit but still crawls most of the time.

She is a joy in our life and we love her so much!

Birthday Birthday coming to earth day!

It's birthday season over here in our house, we made it though all 3 birthday with success. I think everyone had a great birthday!
We started out with Jeff's birthday, We were able to go out on an amazing date that lasted almost the entire day, thanks to my wonderful mother. It was nice to spend sometime with the birthday boy. Jeff has been playing basketball with some men in the ward so the girls got him some new basketball attire. Happy Birthday Jeff thanks for being such an amazing husband and father!
Next up was Liberty! We were actually on our ward camp out on her actual birthday so we ended up telling her that Monday was her birthday :)
That night was her first night sleeping in her big girl bed, she woke up we ate breakfast and then got ready to go meet up with dad for lunch. My phone had died so we had to go get me a new phone real fast, as you can see in one picture she was not happy about this trip, she thought she was getting a new pink phone for her birthday, she was not happy to find out it was for mom :(
After getting a new phone we headed over to 5 Guys for lunch, yummy!!
That night we had family over for gifts and cake and ice cream,
I was surprised with how many of our family members came out, it was so nice to see everyone there for Liberty. She was SPOILED!
I again made a fool of my self and tried to make a cake, nothing fancy but still it was a JOKE!! Why do I even try, we are a store bought cake kind of family!

The next morning we invited all the little cousins over for a little tea party, it was SO FUN!
They were so cute! We first had a little tea party with apple juice and pink milk.

We then had a little dress up corner set up and let the girls go wild and dress up and play princesses. It was so cute to watch them pick out outfits and look at themselves in the mirror

Grandma Janet brought some lipstick for the girls and they were in heaven, I was stressed to the MAX with this party but it ended up being the best party ever! (I though) It wasn't jammed pack with things to do, they girls were able to just play and have fun, and the adults were able to actually sit and relax and talk as well. Thank you to everyone who helped me out!

And last but not least Paisley's Birthday!
Poor girl by this point I was so sick of birthdays but I wanted to do something fun for her, the original plan was to have a cute little garden party in our backyard with lots of baby activities, unfortunately I started to get sick and had NO energy to pull off such a party, so we moved it to the park and it was perfect! The kids played, the adults talked, we did presents and cupcakes and called it a night!

She wouldn't touch her cake haha it was funny, but then I gave her a small cupcake and she went to town. Thanks again for all those who came, its always fun to have an excuse to see family and friends.

Happy Birthday everyone, now come April 24th just remember how much mom did for all of you... JK! :)

Happy Birthday Paisley

It's hard to imagine that a year ago today right now I was walking around my neighborhood like a crazy lady trying to get contractions to start :)
I have very mixed emotions about today, I think it will always be bitter sweet for me. WAY more SWEET then bitter. I don't know why Paisley's birth had to go the way it did, but I am FOREVER grateful for her. She changed me, as a family we witness pure sweet miracles, because of her and our lives are forever better. It put me back on track to where I needed to be, it put me closer to my father than heaven, closer than I had been in a LONG time. I have never felt so low and dark and then to be lifted up and carried to a sweet understanding of the love he has for us. He loves me, he loves my baby and he LOVES my family.
If the only reason this all happened was to show us that miracles happen, and to have faith in his plan, then I'm ok with that. That was a lesson I needed to learn.

I am still haunted by the things that happened that night, I still cry sometimes when I think about those days and the uncertainty of our future,  but then...

I look at this face and smile! Paisley you are PERFECT! at 11 days old no one would have been able to tell that you went through all that you did. You are amazing and perfect and we love you so much! You have such a sweet spirit and I am FOREVER grateful that you lived, and that you LIVE a healthy and happy life!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Well its about time

well we finally did it! We made the switch! I don't know why this has caused me so much anxiety but it sure does. Liberty is now in her big girl bed and Paisley is finally out of the pack and play. They are still in separate rooms for now but hopefully soon they will share a room. The first night was really rough. Paisley cried for about 30 minutes and then off and on all night. And poor Liberty laid in her bed awake for almost 2 hours, the last time I went in there to sing her songs, she told me: "mom, i don't like my big girl bed, can I have my crib back? I can't sleep" ahhh it broke my heart. It was a hard first week but it's been about 3 weeks now and things are much better!
Last night in the pack n play

last nap in the crib
new bed! It's the new favorite hang out for these girls they will play in that bed together all the time. Its so sweet, I like to think this is what I have to look forward to for many years to come. Sisters hanging out on the bed chatting it up!

Liberty had snuck the twizzlers out of the kitchen and in her bed, sneaky sneaky!
