Liberty's Blessing Day

Yesterday was such a wonderful day! We blessed little Liberty. It was kinda last minute, the week before we found out that yesterday was going to be our fast Sunday so we had a week to put this all together but it was still wonderful. That morning my mom, Grammy, Tiffany and Mason came over to help us get ready for church it was so nice to have my mom help get Liberty ready so Jeff and I could get ready. I was holding back tears all morning. It's so secret that I am a very emotional person and all morning I just keep thinking of how crazy it is that this is my life. I have a wonderful little baby and a wonderful husband who is able to bless her. I have dreamed of this day since young women's and I can't believe am at this point in my life. I remember when Jeff and I had broke up and I was having such a hard time with everything one day my mom and I were sitting on our bed and she was listening to me as I cried and cried. She looked at me and said Amy some day we will be sitting here looking out the window on your little kids playing outside with a wonderful man as your husband and we will laugh and think these days of sadness were all worth it for this moment. My mom and I talked about this conversation last night and I can't believe how fast my life turned around. And Last night I did look out that window and see Jeff out there with my family and Liberty and I just smiled! I'm so lucky to have the life I have and so blessed that it all worked out for the best.
Anyways back to the blessing :) It was so perfect I felt kinda out of it all day and kinda feel bad I don't think I talked to anyone really (so sorry everyone I really appreciate you all being there, especially Jeff's family I know I didn't even talk to most of you but I'm happy you all made it!) Jeff did a wonderful job on the Blessing. I felt the spirit so strong during her blessing and I can't wait to see the love and happiness that Liberty brings into this world.  After we went to Jeff's parents house for a little lunch. Thanks to the Williamson's for letting us use their home. Again thanks to everyone who made it. For me it was weird to have half my family missing with Kelsey in Utah Austin is Washington and my Dad and Family in Montana. We sure missed them.

Our friends Michelle and Nate went as tables how cute and creative!

Last night we had another party at our friends Adam and Ambers

Liberty and I were both black cats on Saturday night. Thanks Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Hawkes for her costume :)

The Night of Weezer

Go Here to Jeff's blog to read about Weezer. We do have tons more video but are waiting to get it from friends who videoed for us. But I hope this will do for now.

7 long days!

*I have decided to turn my blog into a book! I'm so excited because everyday I feel so bad that I don't write in my journal and now with Liberty I feel even worse as I'm not recording her life. I do find that I rather Blog than write in a journal so this is my wonderful solution. Great for me bad for you readers as I will continue to be honest and blunt about our everyday lives as I want to remember these days as they really were :) The happiest and hardest days ever!*

Little Miss Liberty went 7 days without pooping!! Everyday that passed I became more and more worried, finally on day 4 I called the Dr. they said don't worry breastfed babies can go 5 to 6 days without going to the bathroom some times. So Monday morning was day 7 for little Liberty she has been in so much pain trying to hard to get it out. After feeding her at 9am I put her in the bouncy vibrator chair that Aunt Lindsey was so nice to let us borrow she fell asleep in it for about 45 mins and when she woke I figured I better change her diaper since it had not been changed since 6am. As I'm taking her clothes off to change her I notice the diaper looks very dark and stinks!!! YAY!!! She pooped!!! I yell to Jeff in the other room come quick she finally pooped and its everywhere!!! HOLY SMOKES girl that was defiantly 7 days worth of poop. It took us 11 wipes and a bath to clean it all up. I'm just glad she finally went.
*Post Picture Later*
(I will spare the Internet world of the pictures we took :) )

1 Month Old!

Our Little Liberty is one month old! I can't believe it's been a month some time times I think wow that went by fast other times it's like wow only one month! We are so in love with this little girl. It's still hard but getting better and easier everyday.

Here are some things we love about our little girl:
* The cute little faces she makes when she is waking up
*She makes the funniest noises in her sleep you would think she is awake but nope sound asleep just very noisy.
*Her Smile!!! She is starting to smile at us and I love it!
*Her sweet spirit
*Sleeping next to her
*Playing dress up with her
*Taking pictures of her
*Going on our walks to "get the mail" (Jeff laughs at me cause we "get the mail" like 3 times a day, really it's just code for Liberty won't stop crying lets go on a walk that will calm her down.

Things I have learned in the past month:
*It is possible to pray 24 hours a day :)
*Starting to figure out her different cries
*Babies can go 6 days without "going to the bathroom" ( I freaked out but I guess it's ok)
*I can survive on very little sleep
*You can love a little baby SO much!
*Patience
*Love
*How to make dinner with one hand the other one is holding Liberty.
*I'm reading everything I can find on Colic and babies sleeping at night.
*I pray every night that she starts sleeping at night, it has not happened yet but I know it will, I have to keep my faith or else it may never happen.

I think my baby is a Colic Baby!

Who needs to sleep... I guess I don't! Everyone in the house is sleeping but me! After a very long night of Liberty not staying asleep because her tummy is so tight and she can't "release" her "gas" I finally put her on top of the dryer and turned it on. She is sleeping like a rock now! As for me I sit on the cold tile floor of our laundry room and let her sleep. I'm looking up bouncers that have vibration so hopefully tomorrow morning she can sit in that while I sleep on the couch. It's going to be a very long day! Hopefully I can sleep a little during the day today.

Our First Week at Church!

I was terrified all day on Saturday of going to church but we did it and it wasn't so bad. I was scared that Liberty would cry and scream and not be able to clam her down. We have 12pm church and she is usually very fussy around this time. But she wasn't so bad. Jeff did have to take her out for the first 20 minutes but after that she slept and was a good little girl. (We only stayed for sacrament I was scared to feed her at church ha ha one week at a time) She looked so cute in her little Sunday dress.
It was also fun cause we sat in front of one of our old Nursery Kids and as soon as he saw us he leaned over to his mom and said, "Look mom I see my teachers!" Sorry kiddo not anymore! Yes no more Nursery!!!! It was fun to see some of our kids though. Funny how I'm probably going to start to miss them now.

I can not wait for this Weezer concert to come so Jeff will shave his mustache!!! I hate it!

After Church we headed over to Grandma Janet's and Grammy's house for dinner. It was a very good Sunday!

She looks so HAPPY!

I love Tiffany's face she looks scared of Liberty, (It's ok I think we are all a little scared when she starts crying) Tiffany did good and Liberty loved sitting on the swing with her.
Liberty LOVES Grandma Janet! She will just sit and stare at her while she sings to her. Thanks mom for all your help on Sundays with Liberty we love coming to visit.

Jeff's Soccer Game

Last week I had to get out of the house so Liberty and I went to go watch Jeff play his soccer game. I love watching Jeff play soccer. I always joke with him that he turns into a different man, he has such passion for the game. Every Tuesday night he plays on a team put on by the city of Mesa at Red Mountain Park. It was nice weather this week and I was glad to get out of the house. Lindsey lives right by the park and was meeting Reggie there so she sat and watched the game with us while she waited for Reggie. It was a fun night! Jeff has school on Tuesday nights so he missed most of the games this season so I was happy he was able to make it to the last game. Hopefully he wont have class for the next season.

Update on Liberty

We are in love with this little girl!! She is so sweet! Nights are still hard for us but I'm getting to point where I crave holding her while we try to catch a few minutes of sleep together. Don't get me wrong I can't wait for her to sleep on her own and through the night but I do enjoy our time together. She is so peaceful when she sleeps and I can just stare at her all night, ( oh wait that is what I do) I know she was meant to come into our family she has the sweetest little spirit I can feel it!

Liberty all warm and snugly :)
Lindsey and I hung out while the boys were at priesthood. We fit all 3 kids into the back seat of her car. Too cute! (They all slept)
It has been so nice out side the last few days Jeff and I decided to take Liberty on a walk to get the mail. She loved it. She loves being outside. When I can't do anything else to clam her down we go outside and she suddenly is calm
Daddy is so proud she has her "blue steel" look down!
Like I said nights are hard but we are getting through them. I sleep from 10-12 than take the night shift while Jeff sleeps, Than at about 6 or 7 Jeff takes over for me while I try to sleep for a few hours in the morning. This is what I usually find in the mornings when I get up. Jeff and Liberty sleeping together.
She loves to sleep in her swing. She looks so uncomfortable Poor girl!

So sweet!! Always smiling in her sleep :)
