Kenley 2 Months Old

This little Girl is chunking up!
Stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 15 oz (90%)
Height: 22.5 in. (50%)
We sure love this little baby. She is sleeping like a dream, well for my babies she is. We have now moved her into the little co sleeper that Jeff made and she sleeps on her tummy. She has given me 5-6 hour stretches some nights and I LOVE IT! Our friend Amber told us about using some "white noise" while they sleep and it really does help. She has FINALLY started to give us a few smiles and we are loving it. She still eats about every 3 hours and is eating great! We love you Kenley, happy 2 months!

Kenley 1 Month Old

This month has flown by! My tiny little baby is getting so big. Kenley is so far a very good baby, one of my best! She sleeps so well. We have started putting her in her bouncer in the bathroom with the fan on at night and she will sleep for about 4 hour stretches in there. It's wonderful! Little babies just make so many noises while they sleep it was hard more me to sleep while I could hear her. I'm not sure how much she weighs but I stood on the scale holding her the other day and we guessed she was about 10 lbs. She loves to sit and sleep in her swing. We had a rough start with breastfeeding this time but she is doing much better now. I love this baby girl so much! Happy 1 Month Kenley Fe!

The Birth

Having a c-section doesn't leave that great of a birth story but I still want to remember all that did happen that day. The day before my c-section was a such a weird/hard day. I was teary eyed all day thinking about how much I would miss my girls and our life together. I was still so excited for this new little baby but felt a sense of loss for the life we all had together. That night we went out to dinner as a family and then we took the girls over to Lindsey's house to sleep over. Jeff and I headed home to get ready for our early morning. I could not sleep a wink that night! I think I finally fell asleep around 11:30 and then was wide awake at 1:00 am til I finally gave up around 2:30 and got up and just started to get ready for the hospital. We had to be at the hospital at 4am with a c-section time of 6 am. Once we got to the hospital we got all checked in we were set up in a waiting room where I got my IV put in and we just sat and waited for 6 am. My mom came to see me before we headed off. That was one of the hardest parts of this delivery was not being able to have my mom with me. The anesthesiologist was so wonderful! She did scare me a little with the possible side affects of the spinal tap they were going to give me but she ended up being the best person in the OR. I walked down to the OR at 6 am and got ready for baby. It was the same OR that I delivered Paisley in, I could tell right away. And poor Jeff had to wait in the same waiting room as he did with Paisley. We were both SO nervous so many emotions going through our minds. Once they put in the spinal the numbing hit me fast!! It was like spinal and then ok lay her down fast! By the time they laid me down my legs were already going numb. I also forgot to take my bra off and it had a wire in it so it had to be taken off, after the nurses finally got it off they had to sterilise me all over again. Oops, again I was SO NERVOUS! What a relief it was to see Jeff walk in soon after. I was so nervous I was convinced it was going to hurt, I did start to get the shakes really bad but I remembered getting those with Paisley too. We soon realized that Jeff didn't bring in the camera, we were so nervous we didn't even think about it. The anesthesiologist kept talking to me and making sure I was doing alright. It was so fast, I kept waiting for it to hurt but all of the sudden baby was out and we heard her cry right away. Her little cry was so cute it reminded me of a little kitty. When they showed her to me I let out a gasp, she was so perfect and so cute! Jeff bounced back and forth between me and baby while they cleaned her up and finished up with my surgery. From walking into the OR to being wheeled into recovery I think the total time was 40 minutes. It went by so fast!

The recovery room was probably one of my favorites parts. It was so quite just Jeff, baby and I. What a great few minutes it was to just relax and love on my new baby. We still needed a name for this baby, and when she first came out I thought right away she looked like Elsie. But soon after changed my mind and thought no, she looks like an Kenley. It would still be another day until we decided on a name. I got to lay in my recovery bed and just look over at my baby while they cleaned her up. Then soon after they placed her on my chest to let her nurse and snuggle it was pure joy!

Not long after we got into our postpartum room Jeff's parents and then my mom and the girls came to visit. I was SO tired it was taking everything in me that day to keep my eyes open. It was one of the best moments to watch our big girls meet their baby sister.

It was a busy first day with so many visitors who were all so excited to meet baby!

This was also one of my best hospitals stays. I made sure to have everything I would need to feel comfortable. I was shocked when they told me I had to get up and walk to the bathroom that first night! Luckily this recovery was SO much better then my last.
That first night was kind of a long rough night but, the next morning I felt better and was ready to pick a name for this baby! I had always thought her name should be Kenley. Before we even knew she was a girl I had the feeling that she was a girl and her name would be Kenley. The middle name was always hard. We thought about doing Cherie but I was never set on it completely. The Sunday before my c-section Jeff showed me a list of Portuguese names he wanted to use. I HATED all of them! Some how after much thought Fe did make the list. I loved the name but didn't love the spelling. But for some reason that morning I woke up and thought that's it that's her name! Kenley Fe Williamson. Fe means faith in Portuguese and what better name for our sweet baby girl than that. It took so much faith from all of us to bring her into this world, I just knew that had to be her name.

After only 2 1/2 days in the hospital I was ready to get out of there. My dang baby blues had set in already and I was dying to get home to my big girls and my bed! We were heading home!

Pregnancy Update

This pregnancy has been amazing! Not much to complain about. I was sick in the beginning but still tried to eat healthy and work out as much as possible. This was the first time EVER that I had worked out during a pregnancy and boy did it help! I also started to see a chiropractor for my lower back pain and that helped a ton as well. I had some heart burn and leg cramps towards the end, but I had that with my other pregnancy's as well. All in all I felt pretty good. My main craving was cereal and costa vida, yum! I could have eaten that every day!

We are so excited to meet this baby girl! We have had ups and downs this pregnancy trying to use all of our faith to know that Heavenly Father is looking out for us but there were times of worry along the way. One of our main concerns was when to delivery this baby. Everything I read said between 36 and 38 weeks was best. I knew that keeping baby in as long as possible was also best, so after much prayer and thought I felt good about 38 weeks. The only problem was I could NOT get my Doctor to sign off on that, I'm not sure why it was such a fight with him. He said the hospital would not schedule it any sooner then 39 weeks. I begged him to just talk to the hospital. I knew that my case was different, and if they could just look at my history it would not be a problem. Anyways I'm not sure what happened but the week after a family fast I left my Doctor appointment in tears because again my doctor would not talk to the hospital. But after I left not even an hour later I got a phone call saying we could schedule it at 38 weeks. Prayers were answered and we were so happy! At that point it gave us 3 weeks until baby was coming! Let the count down begin!

Paisley's first hair cut

Paisley had her first hair cut in April. The time had come, her mullet was getting a little out of control. The back of her hair was growing way faster than the front. Aunt Lindsey gave her her first hair cut and she loved every minute of it. She looks so adorable!

Father's Day

My girls are the luckiest girls ever! They sure do have one of the best dads ever! I was so happy that we ended up being able to just lay low and spend all day at home with Jeff. Jeff has been serving as the assiant  executive secretary in our ward for the past 3 years. It has been a wonderful experience and blessing in our life so it was bitter sweet when a few weeks ago he was released and called to be the 1st counselor in the Elders Quorum. What this really means is now we get daddy home on sunday mornings!! YAHOO!!! All plans to visit Jeff's dad and my dad fell through, so it was a rare and fun day to spend all day just our family. Happy Fathers Day Jeff!

Mothers Day

I was spoiled on mothers day! Jeff and the girls let me sleep in while they made me breakfast and made me the sweets cards. We then went to church and that night had everyone over for dinner. The guys did all the planning, cooking and cleaning! It was a treat for sure! I have the best women and examples of mothers in my life and I feel so blessed!
