Grandmas Dress Up

Grandmas are the BEST!! My mom has started a little dress up collection for the kids, they have so much fun playing with it. The funny thing is my mom bought TONS of princess clothes for the girls and one pirate outfit for Preston, well guess what they ALL always want to be... yup the pirate haha. Good thing Paisley likes to be a Princess

Freestone Railroad

Remember back in April when we were having AMAZING weather!?!?! Well we decided it would be fun to go have lunch at the park and ride the Train. My friend Kaylyn and I met up for a fun play date at the park. Well lucky for us we picked the on HOTTEST day of the whole month. It was so HOT outside. But we still managed to have a ton of fun, even if we did have 6 kids 5 and under. We fed the ducks, ate lunch and rode the train.

Mini Backus Family Reunion

Jeff's Grandma passed away in April, the weekend of the funeral they had a mini little reunion while all the family was in town. It was such a wonderful weekend to spend with family.

After being asked to send pictures of the kids with Grandma for the funeral Jeff and I were sad to see that we need to be better at getting pictures with our kids and their Grandparents. So we made sure to get a few during this get together :)

We are so lucky to have so many cousins on Jeff's side of the family.

Easter

We had a wonderful busy Easter! Easter Morning we woke up and got ready for 8am church :)

My sister Lindsey made all the girls matching Easter Dresses, and silly me NEVER got a picture of them in it :(

After Church we came home and did our own little egg hunt in the backyard. It was so fun this year as Liberty knew just what to do and loved finding all the eggs. Right before the hunt we told Liberty to go hide in her room while the Easter Bunny hid all the eggs. When we let her run to the backyard to find all the eggs she kinda stopped and looked confused, she looked at me and said, where all the rabbits go mom? hahaha

That evening we headed over to my Aunts house for dinner with my dad and another Egg hunt. This hunt was so fun, nothing better then a heard for little kids scampering to find eggs. :)

Busy+Fun=messy house and kids

We have been so busy the last few days and it's starting to show! I am the type that can't stay home too many days in a row I start to turn into mean mommy. But at the same time getting out with 2 crazy kids makes me stressed tried and mean mommy haha.

Yesterday we were gone all day making Freezer Jam with my mom sister and grandma, it was fun, we got a lot done.

Today we had a lunch date, and then visiting teaching, so now we are finally home and we are all way to tired to do anything but the house NEEDS to be picked up! I had to make a few phone calls real fast and when I came back into the Living room this is what I found, my girls digging into the Sunday bag and getting all the left over snacks!! Yes even the Sunday bag is still out!

Who brings pop tarts to church as a snack!?!?! I guess we do... blame Jeff :)

I am loving these girls, they play so good together and it is so cute to watch Paisley try to keep up with her big sister!

And yes this is a toddler bed you see in the middle of our living room, like I said time to clean the house!

side note, I LOVE being a member of our church, so many nice giving people!! A friend just gave us this bed for free!! Time for Liberty to sleep in a big bed, yes she still sleeps in a crib... I'm scared to put her into a real bed, I don't know what I will do when she finds out she can get out of bed all on her own. heaven help us! :)

No Energy for the mommy

Liberty is scaring me, she keeps refusing naps!! I wanted SOO bad to have the kind of kids who took naps until they started school haha I don't know if that is gonna happen. And to be honest it's not even for the alone time, it's cause I NEED A NAP!! I'm so tired all the time, I don't like it. I think I need to go get my blood levels checked. I never got them checked again after the hospital, I was supposed to but never did. Something needs to change! Plus it would help if I could get Paisley to sleep better at night :)

Today I put Liberty down for a nap and about 30 minutes later I hear her say, MOM! My eyes not closing, I NOT tired!!

We are gonna go swimming and hopfully that will tire her out enough for a late afternoon nap! :)

*Update, after a afternoon of swimming I put Liberty down for a nap at 3, she just woke up, its 6!! Yikes that might have back fired on me :)

7 Months Old!

What a BIG girl :)

Don't we always say this, but time goes by way too fast!

Paisley is pretty much the best baby EVER! I love her sweet smile.

Paisley is a busy girl at 7 months. She is crawling everywhere. I can always find her in Liberty's room playing with all the toys. She loves the bathroom, if I don't keep the doors closed I know where she is crawling to! She is pulling her self up onto everything. She loves to pull her self up to the couch and walk along it. And thanks to Grammie she loves to be walked :) One afternoon my Grandma was trying to walk her and she didn't really get the concept of moving her feet, but ever since that day that my grandma worked with her, it clicked and now she LOVES to move her feet and walk! She loves when we hold her hands and walk her around, she feels like such a big girl.

She has also started to say mama :)

She LOVES baby food!! I don't know what to do with a baby like that, Liberty hated baby food. It's been hard to get in the habit of doing baby food everyday but boy does she love it. We can't feed it to her fast enough.
